Interactive Map Provides Geographic Look at Ukraine and Crimea

| |

A change of government in the Ukraine served as a precursor to Russian forces entering the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.  Now, there is an interactive map story that helps to lay out the geography and timeline of events happening in Crimea.

The map story, developed by Esri, shows three map views: geography of Crimea and hot spots of activity relating to the incursion, a shaded map showing breakdown of ethnicity by region, and an overview map of Ukraine shaded by percentage of Russian Speakers.
