New Tourism Geography Book on Destination Competitiveness and Sustainability

A new book in the CABI Series in Tourism Management Research has been released.  Entitled, “Destination Competitiveness, the Environment and Sustainability” the volume contains contributions from academics and is edited by Andrés Artal-Tur from the Technical University of Cartagena in  Spain and Metin Kozak from Dokuz Elul University in Turkey.  The book is split into three sections: managing designation competitiveness, environmental and climate change issues at destinations, and improving designation sustainability.

The book approaches the dilemma of creating more sustainable destinations for both tourists and local residents in an effort to be cleaner, greener and safer.  Compiled with contributions from economists, geographers, managers and marketing professionals, this book provides an insight into the latest research as well as case studies and solutions for managing tourism destinations around the world.
